Prefixes are not names

soap:Body and env:Body are the same element when both prefixes point at the same namespace URI, and two item elements in different namespaces are different elements. The viewer shows each element’s qualified name and its expanded name ({namespace}local) together, and the Namespaces tab lists every binding, where it is declared, how often it is used, and which local names appear in more than one namespace.

Extracting a subtree

Select an element and choose “Extract element”. Namespace declarations the subtree depends on are copied from its ancestors, inherited xml:space="preserve" is added, and anything that cannot be resolved blocks the export instead of producing broken XML.

Questions

How do I navigate the tree with the keyboard?

Up and Down move between visible items, Right expands or moves to the first child, Left collapses or moves to the parent, Home and End jump to the first and last items, and Enter shows the selected node in the source.

Is SVG or XHTML rendered?

No. Imported markup is shown as text and tree data only; it is never rendered in the page.
